Well we Left Erie at 04:30am for a Seven Hour Drive to New York City & Were Making Excellent Time Until The State Police (Officer Jim Bob) Decided That he Wanted to Meet us & Kindly Put His Flashing Lights on & Chased us Down The Interstate. Anyway After a Quick Gday Mate & We Knew Steve Irwin & That I Thought That I Was Only Doing 80Km's an Hour Not 80 Mile an Hour he Let me Off With a Warning. (He Really Loved The Ac sent).
Anyway we Made it to New York City Which is Massive & Went Across to Ellis Island & The Statue of Liberty. We Then Went Across to Ground Zero (Twin Towers Site) Which Was Pretty Spooky Especially as it Was in The Night Time. We Then Rode The New York Subway Up to Times Square Which is Unbelievable so Many People I Did Not Think Existed on The Planet.
The Next Day we Walked Fifth Avenue Tried a Hot Dog & a Pretzel From One Of a Hundred Men on The Corner Selling Them, Walked Down Through Central Park, Madison Square Gardens, Saw All The Christmas Displays in Macy's & Sax & Then Rode to The Top of The Empire State Building (Watch Out King Kong).
The next day we Drove Into The City With 10,000 Yellow Cabs All Blowing Their Horns so of Course I Had to Join in & Then we Went Back to Central Park & Went Ice Skating it Was a Really Pretty Setting.
Big Sheila Holding a Torch.
New York Pretzel on Fifth Avenue (Tastes Like Crap).
Horse & Cart Ride Through Central Park & Another Bloody Yellow Taxi.
Ice Skating Rink in Central Park Being Cleaned Before They Shove 1,500 People on it.
Torvill & Dean (Being Escorted Off For Speed Skating in a Built up Area).
Good-Bye New York we Will be Back! For More Adventures
